I was wondering if anyone here 'surfs' in Counter-Strike?


if u havent played a surf map u should just type Surf in t3h sever browz0r filter thingy

My name in game is Wu-tang`

TIPS:

for first time players play surf_egypt

1. it helps if u kz'ed before to play this

2. when you jump on a 'wave' let go of your forward key and hold one of your strafe keys (hold left strafe if the slope is \ and right if it is /)

3. don't ask people how to surf or u will get answers like: gl_log, fps_max, 1 +right, gg surf, _restart.....etc....

4. look away from the slope to dip down and gain speed look towards the slope to lose speed but gain air

5. to 'strafe jump' (this is a method of moving arounf corners or turnign to goto the next 'wave') to turn right: hold right strafe key and turn your mouse smoothly to the right. To turn left: hold left strafe key and turn your mouse smoothly to the left.

6. stay smooth with your movments

7.have fun!

Hell yeah, surfing is all i do with CS now, its fun when u get in a respawn server and when no fags are killing eachother

u should goto 67.18.78.113:27015 <<<< this is my fav server for surfing its good if theres admin presant otherwise ppl kill and be gh3y

The server that Snuggs posted is 1.6, but tehy have surfing for Source, i havent tried it yet

I surf in Counter-Strike:Source. I am one of the 4 admins on the *|K|O|S|* Clan 24/7 Assault Source server (even though we change it to surf most of the time, anyways :cool: )

on topic: i tryed source surfing the other day at a buddys house and absoulutely hated it.....

i dont no what it was but i like 1.6 surfing way better!

also wu-tang thats sum dam nice tricks, u have style, but maybe you should surf on sv_gravity 800 like the rest of us. or at least if your gonna cheat put the grav on 700 or 750 so its not so noticable with u floating so much ;)

Was the airspeed raised or lowered or what ever than normal. Because some of those seem impossible on how far you go, like it Surf_Skate_V1 you flew all the way to the ramp above the water platform, and thats a little too crazy. I wanna see you or who ever made these to do these in a game then i'll believe you.

ya you need to buy it or if you could get an unused Cd key then you could get it. but then you go to www.steampowered.com to get steam which is what you need to play it.

I used to surf a lot. I was in surf-cs under DraxX00rR. Those were the good days. I tested almost all those maps and a guy named fenix and I found out all the tricks in surf_alien_v1 first. The video only worked for the first minute or so for me, nothin special in it.

Also water run is the easiest map besides alien if u just do it straightforward so its no big deal. Mario, the maker of waterun, opened up the map with no endzones so we could jump anywhere in the area without hittin a wall, that was crazy.

3. it wasnt a full run, u cut it off well before it was over.... my guess is you died.
