A movie you must see

When I was a kid I saw this movie but didn't know the name but it made the biggest impact on my life and my outlook on life. It took me 10 years of asking and pleading with movie geeks cause all I knew was the plot.

If you haven't seen this movie see it. I know it sounds like a cheesy 80's movie but it is far from it. This movie is timeless.

p.s. good luck finding it though because I had to order it on VHS (not out on dvd even though there is a petition)

Well thanks a bunch, JASP3R, now I have another movie to hopelessly obsess over until I finally obtain a bootleg copy (like I did with Battle Royale). And I thought my days of owning a DVD to amaze my friends with (what friends?) were over... :(



EDIT: My God, I've always wanted to see a flick incorportating the song "Speak Now" by Cheap Trick, and I always wanted it to be associated with teenage rebelion. If anybody has any info on the songs in the movie, I'd love to know.
