Edward Nortan is a great actor, but not the best in my oppinion. But he's still up there.

I don't know about all time, but today, I say it definetly goes to Johny Depp. I mean come on. This guy can do so many different kind of rolls so well. He's one damn good actor.

I do have to say Pacino is great, but in the 90's he was usually SCREAMING!
Too many to list and DeNiro is the "Man" in many ways.

Sean Penn is damn good, I'd say he and Depp are the best of that generation.

But...my top 5!
Gene Hackman, not many actors are in his league he dominates.
Gary Oldman, this guy is just amazing!
Morgan Freeman, man is exceptional every single time!
Jack Nicholson, people just don't realize how good the dude is, effortless.
