First tune was damn good once I got past the intro. IMHO coulda done with less of the lead #8. Hopefully Punk-O-Matic 2.0 will have more solo riffs.

Number two was tight as hell, love the intro but it ended a little abruptly for my taste.

Speaking of structure, classic pop song structure goes something like this: verse-chorus-verse-solo-chorus-chorus-verse. Something to that jist. The structure of the second tune I posted is exactly this:

intro-verse-chorus-verse/guitar solo-bridge-drum solo-verse-end

This is why so many of the songs posted sound so jumbled; they lack any kind of structure. Even with a simple structure, it's hard to write a fundamentally bad song.

LeFromage: The tune you posted starts out great. The beat and the riffs compliment each other fantastically. But right around the middle of the tune you lose me because every division afterwords sounds like the makings of another potentially good song, but lose the original feel you developed in the first half.

Case in point, write one song at a time.

Tell me which song you were refering too... If you didn't look at my second one that is the better one... I've looked through many of your peoples song and I don't want to make you look bad, but alot of them are bad. Alot of the songs have lots of holes and here and there. You need to use all of your space. If you leave holes, it sounds kind of empty. Also, you need to use different rhythm with another so that they sound good together. Another thing is timing. Don't just listen to a rhythm and say "AWWW THAT SOUNDS AWSOME!" and then just place it anywhere. Place it with others that will make it sound even better.
When you switch rhythms, try to line them up so that each instrument is not changing at a different time. It sounds better.
The last thing is repetition. Do not repeat thing like 4 times. Only try repeating things one or two times. After that it just sound like crap.

I know different people life different music and things, but most music should sound good to everyone because, most things in music are very comon. I myself am very into music and have been studying it for about 10 years.

I'm not trying to put everyone down, just a couple hints, and here is mine.

Another thing is that the Punk-O-Matic program isn't entirely perfect. Even when you have things that sound right, the program may lag a little and the rhythms may sound "not together". Some may start a little before another. To stop most of this from happening, change all the details to the lowest you can get, and turn off all extras like lights, backround music and so on.

And if you want to listen to it to see if it sounds good, don't drag the meter thing to follow the line. Just listen without touching it because when you drag the meter thingy, it lags it more so...yeah.
