looking for a utility or program that can (specifically) retrieve deleted files from a hard drive that has been quick formated. freeware of cracked... i ain't proud.

Those two have no limitations (that involve data recovery), and they have been high rated by CNET.

EDIT: wow... ive used File Rescue Plus 3.0 and it kicks ass but... 2 files? i need a reg no.

Among data recovery tools I can pose out Active@ undelete and Uneraser (DOS). These are really powerful tools that never failed me before, were always able to bring lost files back, even those I considered completely dead and not corrupted any of the restored info. You should definately give it a try.
