I'm from Peoria, IL, and I was just wondering what everybody thought of Mudvayne. I personally don't like a whole lot of their songs, but I'll admit, they are getting much better.

I'll agree they need a new drummer and maybe a new lead singer, but their bassist is actally pretty damn good.

Musically, I think the bassist and the drummer are both VERY talented. "Not Falling" is a great example of both of them tearing it up on different riffs.

But I don't like the band that much...

With all due respect they really are not worth discussing. They will be a footnote in the history of post-grunge modern rock drivel!

I actually like their older stuff more then the stuff they got on their new album. Although a few of the songs are pretty catchy. I don't know what I like more about them though, the actual music, or the mentality that they write it to. Spag (Their drummer) is one of the deepest people I've heard of. Just take a look at some interviews and you will see what I mean.

While they definitely aren't my favorite band, I think they are one of the better "metal" bands out there. I like how they use a lot of odd time signatures in their music and I feel they are rhythmically creative. I think a lot of people overlooked them due to the makeup they used to wear and the comparisons to Slipknot.

Yeah, but I enjoyed the whole makeup thing. Slipknot wears masks and stuff, but unlike mudvayne, they wear it all the time. Mudvayne rarely wore it on stage, and only in a few videos. It was more of "its an eye candy thing" then "I'm too ugly to have fans so I wear this".

As a general rule I HATE bands that wear masks and/or makeup. These guys are no exception, I hate every song I've ever heard but the bassist is DAMN GOOD. He doesn't really use his full ability in Mudvayne, I heard somewhere that he's also a Jazz player, I'd love to see that.

They're alright. Not near the top of my favorites, but I'll probably be getting their most recent CD pretty soon. I like the current single a lot.

No Lemmy, Kiss had some kick-ass songs. But I still hated their makeup, it's just stupid.

It is better for society if they have makeup on because they are all very ugly.

Yeah I guess that's true. Anyway, considering what they did for rock and music in general, they're OK in my book, plus they consistently kicked ass live for like 30-something years. I hear a Kiss concert is one hell of a fucking show.

Mudvayne is the gayest band ever....and by gayest band ever I mean, Richard Simons, Barney, teletubies, etc.

I just saw them live at download and they dont wear masks anymore. they were "okish" they had a few decent riffs but generaly they lacked something special to their sound. I think the singer got bottled as it looked like he was bleading from his forehead although my freind siad it was just his hair. thats some messed up hairdoo!!

Ya well they should know Shawn of Slipknot helped make LD 50.

I liked End of All Things to Come and LD 50. I can't say the same for Lost and Found though. It's just not what I was waiting all this time for them to make. But I will say it does have a couple good songs, Happy, Determined, and Just.
