Movie title question

Alright, if you know what this movie is, I will consider you the lord and master of all movies for all time. I watched this movie on A&E years ago, and it was a great movie. I missed the beginning, but somehow, this guy ends up in a house with this opera singer and her 500 adopted daughters (I think they were adopted), and the movie is about how he falls in love with the one girl who plays trombone, and all the other girls are trying to get him. I don't remember too much about it, it's been like... 8 years. If you could please tell me the name of the movie, I'll be eternally greatful. :)

And one other thing, I'm pretty sure the title had "man" in it, like "Man of the House" or something like that.

The only good AandE movie i have ever seen is "The Lost Battalion" everything else kind of sucked. oh except that joe montaina PI film were he is killed but then the docters revive him. don't remeber the name but i know they made a few sequels that sucked. then there was this one show that was really good about this overwait criminoligist in the 20's named Wolf or something like that. were they used yelling as code, it was funny and the murder mystery always had a cool twist.

This one time I saw this movie where there was this robot man. And he came to earth and did all this crazy stuff. And then he saw this guy sitting on a bench with a mohawk. And the robot said "your head looks like a skunk or something." It was pretty wacky. And the robot was like made from Star Wars and somehow knew C3P0. Or something like that. Man it was crazy movie. I've asked everyone I know, but nobody knows the name. I've searched countless hours on IMDB but I can't find it.
