Fuck my computer

I have some lame ass hijacker called ClickSearchClick, and I cannot fucking get rid of it. It hyperlinks a ton of words to their website. It keeps changing my homepage. If I click a link on google it goes to their site. I have Xoftspy and it says it is deleted and what not, but when I run it again it is still there.

Anyone know how to get rid of this shit?

Well first I dont know were the program hides in the registry so I cant tell you what to do there but
Start > Run > msconfig (or Windows key + R) and go to startup and look for any suspicious program and un-check the box beside it and reboot. This would prolly stop it from from running and download
Spybot (http://www.download.com/Spybot-Search-Destroy/3000-8022_4-10122137.html)
and
Adaware (http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10045910.html?part=69274&subj=dlpage&tag=button)
Run t UPDATES on both of them and try to remove using the programs after IF it cleans
download HiJackThis (http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/)
This prevents any program from Hijacking your program

LMFAO that sucks. umm try to run your comp in safe mode. restart your computer, and start tapping F8 right away, and it will ask you for a few options, chose safemode WITH networking, and then click on the link i sent above.

Go download Microsofts antispyware. It will restore you default settings, and clean it out.

dude trust me, you can scan it with every thing you got, its still ganna be infected, might not show up on the scans for a few weeks, but it will in a while, once your computer is infected like that, its really rare to get it back to normal. just reformat it, and make a new thread on how to protect your comp from that stuff form the future so you dont have to go though this again, we will all help you

I just finished reformatting. I now have Firefox and M$ AWS. Fuck you ClickSearchClick.

Firefox is kind of weird :/. I like the pop-up blocker, though. It is lame because you cannot download the actual google toolbar for FireFox, and my MSN toolbar doesn't show up for it either.

You really didn't have to reformat. I bet if you used Microsoft Anti-Spyware, Ad-Aware, and Spybot Search and Destroy, it would be gone. If it was still there you could've downloaded HijackThis and post the log onto a computer forum, and i'm pretty sure they would tell you what to delete. Now you have to reinstall everything.

You never have to reformat because you have had spyware, spybot search and destroy and adaware get rid of the majority of it, also using spyware blaster to stop active x controls as well.
(Hijack this shouldn't be used unless you know what you are doing and have someone who knows how to use it helping you)

AND....you can have the google as a searchbar in Firefox, there is an extension that you can download.

When it happens to you again, and if you put yourself in such a position for it to happen before then it will, don't come complaining about how you have to format your PC every time it gets screwed up. If you don't want to take the time to learn how to solve the problem, don't bother asking for help.
