Data lost from a Philips DVDRW [Archive]

I backed up a load of my stuff on to a Philips DVDRW and now it seems that all of the files bar one are gone from one of the folders. When I bring up the details of the disc it reads that there are only 36mb remaining, which is accurate, indicating that the files may not be completely gone. However when I bring the details of the specific folder they were in it registers only the size of the single file now remaining in that folder.

Can anyone help with this one?

try putting your dvd in another computer and see if it reads it there... thats all i can say maybe your disk drive is dirty or something?
