Apparently, Sharon is planning to pull the 8,000 or so settlers out of Gaza. Palestinian groups obviously are calling it a bluff and nothing more than a PR ploy. Two questions: Do you think he's actually going to go through with it? And if so... would it be a peacekeeping manuever or just giving in to terrorism (as many are already calling it)?

I don't think it's a bluff. And I don't think it's a peacekeeping manuever OR giving in to terrorism. I think the settlements are just too costly to protect.

I look forward to the day my children will one day come to me and ask me if the war over the Gaza Strip will be over so I can look them in the eyes and laugh hysterically.

I think its pointless. Sure you would not have to worry about those 8000 people as much, and it might calm a FEW Palestinians. But I think that they wont stop blowing up busses until every Israeli(Jew) is out of Israel.

Yeah, it will appease some... but until every single jew is dead, many will still commit terrorism.
