what year was the bst year for chevelle?
i think its 67 cause fuckin the 454 was in the ss. an the 60's ruled the muscle cars. i like the styling also.

70 ss was so so.. 67 still the best in my opinion.

Im gonna agree with newfz that the 1970 ls6 was the best. I thought it was the best looking of all chevelles. But i like any of them that were built before compression was lowered and emissons garbage was put on.

the best year of the chevelle was in 1970 simply because of the LS6 460hp stock.. in 1971 they lost about a 100 hp due to emissions and shit.. My father had a 71 ss specially ordered without the racing stripes and bucket seats with the 454.. he then bored it out to a 490ci with all the trimmings and was running 10.8's back then and it wouldn't hold an idle below 2k or it would faul the plugs lol

I always had a thing for the 72 SS. It doesn't matter what engine your car comes with. You can always throw a bigger, better motor in it. :)

In 1967 the largest most powerful engine you could get in a Chevelle was a 396, they didn't offer the 454 in the Chevelle until 1970. The COPO car is very rare and one of my favorites.

But I don't think I could pick an absolute favorite Chevelle. There were too many really nice and rare ones to pick favorites!

All of them are right up there and pretty much tied for me.
