Finally, after a grueling 8 game losing streak, the Cubs have finally won, DESTROYING the Cardinals 11-4. Lets hope that this is the start of a fantastically long winning streak.

PS: I'm a Cubs fan so I HAVE to be optimistic. So if you think I'm over the top, YOU try being a Cubs fan... my fellow fans understand :)

Barring an absolute miracle, the Cubs are out of it. Even if they do win eight straight, they are going to have to hope that Houston and everybody else ahead of them loses as well. That's unlikely to happen. The Cubs have too many teams to pass to put themselves in the Wild Card lead.
