I have been a fan of this guys for many years now. He used to be involved with Klayton the guy behing the music of Celldweller (the best fukin band on the planet) but Klay left to persue Cell full time. Still a lot of the music you hear in the background on the show is done by Klayton. I have a couple autographed posters of Criss Angel and Klayton from when they where known as Angeldust. The guy is pretty amazing.

Yeah. Every time I see him on tv I think of myself. He spells his name Kriss angel I believe.

I'm 73% sure that he used this girl on a more recent stunt in Las Vegas. Also all I have to say is his Deja Vu stunt proves the conspiracist right.

He's a good magician. I read a lot of magic boards, as well as the alt.magic.secrets newsgroup, and the general concensus is that his show uses too many camara retakes/edits. If he performed for you 1 on 1, he could pull off most of the effects you see on TV. But, a TV recording of that trick from a stationary angle might catch his gimmick/sleight. So, they usually record the real 'reactions' of the crowd and mix them with the 'retakes' of the tricks. Blaine did this too for his levitations, however, the majority of the card tricks are all straight footage. Magic on TV is always shady. It's too hard to discern what is real since everything could just be a TV special effect. Live, upclose magic is where the effects work best.

Angel overdoes the 'danger' aspect of his tricks. He acted all scared to death over the hummer trick, even though there was no danger whatsoever. The only thing not faked (AFAIK) was the body hanging from the helicopter. That was crazy.......but it wasn't magic as much as it was just a stunt.
