Everyone knows the feeling, whether it be a slow crescendo that builds into a climax (Lux Aeterna) or a song that's so heavy and fast (Aggressive Perfector) everyone's experienced a song which gives you goosebumps or makes you shiver like mad. Name at least one song that's done that to you.
Driver's Seat- Sniff and the Tears
Bitches Brew-Miles Davis
A Love Supreme- John Coltrane
America-Simon and Garfunkel
Rock and Roll- Velvet Underground
Electric Light Orchestra--Fire On High
Pink Floyd--Comfortably Numb (and just about any other song by them)
Morbid Angel--This Means War
Pantera--Suicide Note Part 1 (the first few notes on the guitar get me every time)
There's more, I just don't feel like thinking that hard.

Very true. But the fact that each song is like... 20 minutes long might be a detriment to new listeners. As for me, I lub them.

I like how you think, I agree with You Can't Bring Me Down, especially when it slows down and picks up again.

^^^ Under Pressure is a definite for me as well. That song was so far ahead of its time and even now it has more meaning than most songs. The part that gets me is the explanation of "Love" at the climax of the song. Damn, I love that song.
Either The Beatles or Johnny Cash's version of "In My Life" That song not only gives me chills but sometimes brings tears to my eyes.

Most Pink Floyd songs, in particular 'One Of These Days' has a great chilling build up.
The build up and climax of a lot of Radiohead songs are awesome, such as You and Whose Army, 2+2=5, Sit Down. Stand Up, Paranoid Android and pretty much anything live.
Also, Newborn by Muse has a great piano and vocal build up at the beginning, which erupts into a simple but mindblowing riff.

YES! MOONAGE DAYDREAM!!!!!! I can never find anyone who has ever even heard of that song! The best part is the little recorder solo in the middle. Or during the last chorus when they delay his voice.

Or there is Ronson's screaming extended guitar solo on the live versions...

Good one,
Latest song I was listening to that gave me the chills was War Pigs, God, I love that song, especially the middle where he keeps arpeggiating chords. Over and over again.

So What by Miles Davis, it doesn't give you chills, but if you don't feel like lighting up a cigar and putting on your favorite black suit and hanging out in cool bars, then sir, you're not human.

Duh..
Yeah, and add The needle and the damage done by Neil Young to my list of songs.
