I'd say Daunte Culpepper. He can do it all. In the next few years I think David Carr will be one of the best.

Just because Manning doesn't run means that he's not the best overall QB. What seperates him from the rest is his reads. Basically every play, he audibles before the snap, and I'm not gonna go against someone who threw for 49 TDs.

IMHO, Payton Manning.

Best all around: Would be Manning...Culpepper right behind
best clutch QB when it counts; Tom Brady
Toughness: Farve and Brady
Awareness: definitely Brady he is always calm no matter if they are blitzing or not
Mobility:Vick or Culpepper
Leadership: Brady, Farve, and Manning

I would have to say Peyton Manning is the best all around QB. He is the best student of the game. Nobody learns more about the other teams then him. He reads over their formations while the defense is on the field. Leadership i would have to go with brady as much as i hate him. Toughness in my mind is no question steve mcnair. he has played through more injuries then any other wb in the league. When you look at how many times he has been questionable for the game and played its amazing.

um.....how about brett favre for toughness. Ya know, considering he has played over 200 consecutive games....how many qbs can play a full season after breaking a thumb?

But yea steve mcnair is tougher

Sure he is a little overhyped but you cannot argue the guy is a great qb. Hes gonna throw for his 50,000th yard this year. He will also reach 400 td's this year and will have a 60-65 % completion percentage this for his career. Those are extremely tough to come by in a Qb.

And you can tell he's pretty good considering this is coming from a Vikings Fan.

You're...You're kidding right? Manning for toughness? Good god....Culpepper is the best all around QB. He has the best arm in the game and he is more athletic than Manning.

JMac453

Peyton Manning is the best current all-around QB. QB's weren't meant to run around and do all this shit that Vick and McNabb do. If you go by what the definition of a quarterback is, and how they were originally supposed to play, it's bar-none Peyton Manning. Actually...scratch all that crap I just said.

Here's all you need to know about Peyton Manning: He WILL be the greatest QB of all time (at least statistically...I don't know if he'll be able to get that ring).

Daunte Culpepper

Daunte Culpepper

Daunte C....

why is Mcnabb even on the list, any qb who consistently over throws/throws at the shoe laces shouldnt be there.

manning is second to favre for most consecutive games started (by an active quarterback anyway)

Didnt he break his jaw in a game and kept playing?

I'd say Daunte Culpepper. He can do it all. In the next few years I think David Carr will be one of the best.

That's my exact thought.

Peyton Manning beat him out last year because they're cheap. They would get the running back to fun down the field, then get Peyton to throw a 3-yard touchdown pass. :insane:

wow.. farve definatley isnt 3rd anymore, hes not as good as he was when he was young, back then he took chances and always came out with a completed pass, now he still takes chances but he doesnt succeed as much

Yea, I agree. He's still top 5 though. Here are my rankings:

1. Manning
2. Culpepper
3. McNabb
4. Brady
5. Favre

That explains why peyton had something like 4557 yards throwing and culpepper had maybe a 100 more
btw Edge shouldn't get that big contract if he is "funning" down the field

p.s favre isn't supposed to be third in my thing idk why i put him there

Didn't think so.

Marino nobody can even match his numbers...not even Farve can.....too bad Marino never won a super bowl though that was his only downfall...if he would have won a couple he would be elevated too super elite of QB's....He is still considered by many to be the best or Montana but Montana also won super Bowls...ahhh welll

Daunte Culpepper for sho! He has an arm like a tank, can run better than some RB... and he's still a good leader.

Statistically (Regular Season) Peyton
Statistically (Post Season) Tom Brady
Statistically (playoffs excludign superbowls) tie Brady and McNabb
Raw talent Mike Vick
overall (Run and Gun) Daunte Culpepper

for current qb's

People really need to get off the Brett Favre bandwagon. He's a cool guy and all and you know he's tough and loves playing the game.... But he throws SOO many damn interceptions. Mannings first few years the biggest criticisms you could make of him were his td/int numbers. Well look at Favres. He's only has a few seasons where he didn't throw more interceptions then average.

im saying culpepper, great numbers, good speed, hard to take down because he is pretty big (says dwight freeny) and a good leader...i liek daunte...but i love my browns....yea i know they suck

Completely right about farve. It pisses me off when the announcers praise him the whole game, and they find away to make it non negative when he throws a pic.

I dont like either when they parise Favre. They always ay Favre is still one of the best. Come on. He throws interceptions. Not on top. Not to sure if he is one of the best qb's in the league. I also meant to say troy probobly shouldnt be that high on the list, but I aint one to comment on that.

He's still a top 5 QB in this league. Don't kid yourself. He may be losing a step from his past years, but he's still damn good.

He's good when hes not throwing pics, hes almost as good as a peyton manning type quarterback when hes not throwing pics, but he throws so many, and we all remember the game last season where he went to throw it and it went 20 yards behind him, lol.
