I hate to be a doom merchant, but does anyone else get the feeling that Smokey's gonna totally own us? I mean he has possibly the best forward, best d-man, and best goalie, and no weak links! How? I guess Forsberg may not be healthy, but he has datsyuk at centre aswell.

I'm pretty pleased with my team considering I slept through the draft, but I have at least a few crappy players.

edit: Is there a reason when guys like Jovanovski, Liles and Zetterberg are all ranked at least 200? :confused:

I got to the draft real late, luckily it had autodrafted most of my guys already... I took Roenick, Kariya, and Hill with my last 3 picks and I guess I set up the autodraft pretty good for the guys I got... I mean, I didn't even try to get Brodeur since he's the most saught after G ever. My team is the bomb, I totally expect it to own, especially if Forsberg is able to come back a few weeks after the season begins.... no matter I have Roenick on the bench in case he's not ready !!! :lol: I have never participated in any fantasy sport before really lolllzzzz :icon_rofl

note to self: always get goalie, C, and defensemen first, everyone else after that!!

Oh yeah, and I traded Kariya for Ekman... I think SJ is the better team and Ekman only scored a few less points last season while having a MUCH BETTER +/-. Come and get some!!

I dropped Spezza and took Liles: I have 3 Cs (Lang, Morrison and Lecavalier) so Spezza was never going to do anything. With Foote gone Liles will be spending a lot of time on the ice and he is way better than the 200 odd rank he was given. I might swap Jovanovski for Kalinin aswell if my proposed trade with the Nordiques continues to be unanswered (hint).

I dropped Esche because his GAA was like 4.8 the first week of the season and I was like "eewww"... his save percentage was also horrid. My goalie situation is good though; Luongo backed up by Roloson.
