Rahul Dravid

Personally, I think the best Batsman is Dravid. No one is as consistant as 'the wall'. Maybe Tendulkar. Either way, both of them belong to India.

Pieterson is getting better and better. Him and Flintoff are carrying England.

Typical American viewpoint. Anything the british have has to be knocked to make themselves feel better and vice versa.

The ball isn't bowled underhand in cricket, you sure you're not thinking of rounders?

Baseballers wouldnt beable to handle cricket, as cricketers wouldnt beable to handle baseball, although they seem similar, they're not. No three strikes in cricket.

Cricket is often seen as a pussy boring sport but unless you've been hit in the chest or anywhere else with a corker by a fast bowler, you cant judge.

Not a big fan of cricket but it can be laugh to play.

I'd agree with Dravid or maybe Lara.

uhh...lets see... fast bowlers can throw the ball at 90+ mph, a cricket ball is harder than a baseball by a billion and a cricket bat weighs much more than a baseball bat plus you cant use gloves in the outfield, its barehanded unless you are the wicket keeper AND you have to run a lot if you are batting. you might stay up there for a few hours, not the 5ish pitches most MLB batters face 4 or 5 times in a game, just letting you know...

and to the question, gilchrist or ponting, maybe lara

lol ive just been messing with you guys the last couple of post obviously we both know nothing about each others sports but i do have my excuse (sterotypical american)
im just did some research a cricket ball or w/e is 160 grams a baseball is 150 the fastest "bowler" recorded "bowled" the ball 100.2 mph. can someone explain to me how the ball is bowled and do you have finesse bowlers or all speed?

The ball is bowled with an overarm straight arm delivery (it's quite hard to explain). It's kind of like a windmill motion with the bowling arm. The ball has to bounce before it reaches the batsman.

As for the bowling types it's not all pace. You do get fast bowlers but you also get spin bowlers which basically means that the ball changes direction on the bounce.
