Ebuam's forums have the potential to be really good forums. I barely ever come on here any more because I find myself reading ignorant, racist, and otherwise meaningless posts by noobs and sometimes older members. It's just not worth the time any more.

The mods ought to start banning people who immediately prove themselves to be hopeless noobs making the kinds of less-than-worthless posts I described above. It would make this a much more enjoyable forum, but I suppose since the influx of noobs is so great and unrelenting, it would be difficult.

I agree that the noob's posting stupid home videos of them and their stupid friends doing someting that isn't worth the time to video tape. But when it comes to the ignorant and racist comments, I think they spark great debate.

I'm happy finally come across a forum where I can where you can actually speak you mind. I believe this forum should remain the way it is. Obviously such questionable illegal content is banned from this site such as porn and blood/gore, illegal sharing of music/movies, and very well should be, but people speaking their minds should not be banned as long as their posts don't break any laws.

I guess what I'm saying is, if you don't like the forum the way it is, go find one where they have all these restrictions you are looking for. At least there, you might be able to sleep better at night! :D

I agree with what you've said - but not all the noobs have the same mentality and opinions. I'm still new to here, but I have never made any racist remarks or done anything of what you mentioned.

I have only ever used the chat facility once and all I got was some idiot calling everyone and being downright rude and abusive. There will always be people who post crap on forums to get everyone fired up, but we're not all like that.

I like in here just to read people posts and see whats going on - but I feel intimidated by a lot of people because I;m a 'noob' and people will no doubt give me a hard time for saying something sensible. Of course, this doesnt appy to everyone - some replies have been good.

People have a right to voice their opinions - but they should also respect other peoples views without being so awful.

Honestly, I'm a "noob" on these forums (if that's what you want to call it), and I never got any disrespect. You know why? The respect for a member is not based on the amount of time he's been around, but rather on the quality of his posts...The only reason I did register to the forums is because I kept checking here to see people's opinions on the media and I was so surprised at the degree of ignorance and/or racism, or stupidity that lies in many members' posts, whether they are "noobs" or not.
My personal opinion is that those who post nonsense containing the "n word" and other blatant racist/homophobic/or segregational in any way stupidities should be banned, either temporarily or for good... because their opinions have no sign of intelligence (and though should be what every forum is based on).
And big ups to the mods who are working on that. :)

There is the report post button, it makes our lives much easier and lets us get to the crap instantly, without having to wade through all of the new posts first.

You all have to appreciate that we delete posts and threads more often than close them, there is a LOT of deleted stuff you people cannot see and it's all done so you can have a better time here.
