Anyone ever heard of them? Canadian death metal band. I completely forgot about these guys, I have one of their CDs (Temple Of Knowledge), but I haven't seen it in about 5 years. I just found it in my brother's room and nearly shit myself when I listened to it again. Some of the flat-out craziest death metal I've ever heard. It sounds like sometimes they aren't even playing together in the same time signature, but somehow it works. And the singer sounds fucking insane. Does anyone else here even know who they are?

I like them. They have some wicked drumming on some tracks.

I only have 2 albums, Serenity and Fire and Victims of This Fallen World. Serenity is quite good, Victims, Is pretty bad.

But Serenity more than makes up for it.

Might you know what the fuck they're singing about? I don't know about those other albums, but the one I have (Temple of Knowledge) has some fucked up lyrics. Not your typical death metal subject matter.

Not Kataklysm, at least not the songs I've heard. This album is all about wierd ancient sounding shit with dead languages and shit like that. I'm pretty lost when I try to read their lyrics.

Most Death Metal isn't like that. That is "Gore" or "Grind."

Death Metal is by far more intelligent than that.

Most lyrics like that are from "goregrind." There are a fair amount of lyrics similar to that, but most good death metal bands have more intelligent lyrics, or just leave out the sexorized parts.

I tried to touch upon popular death metal bands to show that they have gorey lyrics, the only band that I had even the slightest trouble with was Necrophagist.

How can you say most good death metal bands dont have gore lyrics?

Jesus Christ, that is fucking weak. Besides Cannibal Corpse, which no question is gorey as fuck, those other bands are not. Sure the specific songs you posted had some depictions of death, but they weren't all out gore. I've heard gorier from the likes of Slipknot and even Insane Clown Posse. And most of the other songs when you scroll up and down the album have even less, if any at all. Believe what you want to believe, death metal is not about KILL KILL FUCK FUCK KILL GWRMHPHMHPHGRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!

hahaha. I haven't listened to Eaten Back to Life in a long time. The lyrics for Shredded Humans is hilariously disgusting. Barnes sure knows how to rhyme.

BTW-MGselwonK, Morbid Angel is a kickass death metal band and they don't have much, if any, gore in their songs.

For the songs you posted, it would be a lot easier to find several more with other lyrics. Sure some do deal with death itself, but the goreridden lyrics not a death metal essential.
