Those Carrera S's run mid 12s from the factory! And ls1 maros can run high 12s pretty much stock too with good tires...
Yeah i'd say a little 2.0L deserves some help via boost vs porsche's almost-twice-as-big H-6 and vs the much larger and sweet ls1...

The 2000 Camaro 302 concept had 453rwhp, which was a REAL engine. And the old 60's 302s had 210rwhp and 310rwtq.

Drag racing is the greatest sport involving cars ever. Compare it to arm wrestling, straight up man to man, to see who is the strongest. No bullshit in drag racing. Just a competition to see who builds the better motor.

It's a great feeling having your head snap back into the headrest knowing you built a monster capable of covering a 1/4 mile in 10 seconds or less with your bare hands.

And as for the 302/305 stuff. The 305's weren't horrible, but the olds 307 was a train wreck. The Chevy 302 could make power, but it had its problems. Exactly why you don't hear much of them these days.

i have driven some pretty fast road cars nothing too special. but i have driven my dads spec racer ford and ive driven a d sport racer and that could kill any road car easily both in the quarter mile and especially around a track. and i just dont think its really that fun to just go straight, there is sooo much more when your goin around a track.
and its fun to drag race a little, but its not that fun to me, but i was also kinda trying to say fuck street racing. if you like drag racing thats cool, but your never gonna convince me that its better than being on a track.
