I haven't heard of anyone talk of the beach boys in this forum..

So does anyone like em?

I personally love the song "California Dreaming"

The Beach Boys are definately amazing, one of my favorite groups. Brian Wilson is a genious. In an era largely dominated by British bands, they really shined through as a great American rock act.

I love that acapella singing they do... AAAAAAAAAHHHH-OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH-AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH

I like them, some older stuff anyway. I'm not that crazy about the surfer songs, they were good back then, but now they all seem the same.

I like the album "Wild Honey" best, I recently bought it, although you can't buy it alone now, it's on a CD with "Smiley Smile".

I never heard of "California Dreaming" by them, I just looked through a long list of their albums and songs and didn't see it. They have "California" and "California Girls". The Mamas &the Papas have a song "California Dreamin'", but I didn't see one by the Beach Boys.

They did cover California Dreamin in the late 80s, its on one of their "best of" compilations, but I was still confused as to why that was his favorite, haha :lol:

i like a couple of their songs i dont reall ylisten to them but its called wipeout.

I haven't heard much but what I have heard of them sounds just a bit too corny IMO.

The Beatles gave The Beach Boys an inferiority complex. They tried to keep pace with The Beatles but could not do it. The Beatles totally dominated the 1960s.
