Ok this seemed rather odd that one day i am listening to music and then it cuts off, the song is still going but no sound from my headphones - so i try something else that uses sound like flash of so wav vid - but still no sound.
I then remove the headphones and plug in the speakers that come with my moniter - still no sound. Then i try scaning my comp for viruses and such - and nothing is found. Can anyone tell me wtf if going on? is it something dumb that I should slap myself for? help me

That only happens to me when I have real player open, and am listening to music, and have Windows Media Player and am watching porn. The porno always stops...

I have this happen occasionally with my Audigy. Reseat the sound card and then try again. Seems like the card pops out automatically sometimes.

It could be your sound card (most likely) or your Volume Control.
Well, first you wanna make sure your sound is on... :) If it is, then you might wanna make sure your sound on your computer is on. Go to the Control Panel, and go to Sound and Audio Devices, then select Advance, and make sure your bars are turned up, and none of them are muted. If those are fine, then there is something probably wrong with your drivers. Try this, go to Start, All Programs, accessories, System Tools, System Restore, and restore your computer to a date your sound was working. If that doesnt work, just let me know.
