Its too bad that the 1500lbs they saved from a Veyron are probably those that you would actually want in a car.

Now, if you’re looking at the concept photo shown here, and thinking “Hmm, that looks like a Lotus” you’re not alone. That sketch was penned by a British auto designer named Steve Everitt. Evidently, Steve was inspired by the Lotus Elise/Exige, but probably figured he could butch it up a bit.
http://www.driverslife.com/

Steve Everitt is a blaggard, and Hennesy are mugs obviously.

EDIT: Oh and you guys don't know the difference between an Elise and and Exige?

I don't get it. What has the Veyron got that the Exige lacks, other than 4 wheel drive? 700kg gets a lot of leather trim and a massive stereo.

Its bigger (more comfortable), has airbags, air conditioning, and pretty much everything else you'd want in a normal car. Its one thing to build a purpose built race car, its another to build one that a person could drive every day without having to deal with a 6 point harness or a ride that'll break your spine to go to the grocery store.

For a normal sports car that's wheels, somewhere to sit, and some controls. If you're lucky a roof too. A/C is abnormal on most cars in the UK (you only need it for a handful of days each year). Airbags are dangerous in some situations, so whether they are actually needed is debatable.
I would ask how Hennesy propose to add 300kgs to the weight of an Exige in the first place.
Bigger is not necessarily more comfortable when you're throwing the fucker around. Bigger just means more space to bounce around in. Though having said that, maybe you're a fat cunt.

AC is normal for 99% of the cars in America. The world doesn't revolve around the U.K. jackass. Airbags are dangerous? Would you rather have a steering wheel rammed into your face or have a giant SUV smash you on the side of the head? Theres a reason why airbags are implemented in almost all newer cars, they save lives.

The difference between a road car and a race car is how comfortable it is. I've seen a Lotus in real life, your ass sits just inches off the ground, which I imagine is uncomfortable. Not to mention that its ridiculously tiny size would become bothersome. It also wouldn't be the car I want to drive in a city full of trucks/SUV's that'll run me over after not seeing me in their blind spot. (Yes we have enormous cars/trucks with enormous engines that we don't get taxed for and fairly cheap gasoline compared to yours )

The Lotus would be uncomfortable on long trips, but OMG is it fun to drive, wow.
