I don't understand violence in a sport like hockey.
You want to be a tough guy? ....get into MMA or boxing.
Doesn't matter how hard this guys try to act tough they will never be looked at like mma fighter.

They aren't trying to act hard, it's part of the sport. That hit just got a little out of control.

Not saying all of them but the majority of people ( the media included) depicts hockey players has tough guys.
That hard tuckle is just not justified in that situation and the rest of the team should of jumped his ass.
After the first tucle he even tuckles a second guy by the net lol
When you have to much violence in sports like this it just takes away skills from the game.
Immagine if you could tuckle people in soccer what would be the point?
But since fights/brawls sale seats at the stadium who cares right?

But the worst sport of them all has to be rugby , seriously look at this animals lol

Look at 1.54 min he headbutts the guy in the face lol

and look at this animal here

Soon enough straight rights will be part of rugby.

Then of course in sports where violence is tolerated crap like this will happen

Like i sayd you want to fight join boxing or mma.

These are rough sports. If you can't understand that go watch baseball or bowling or something.

Blitz, unlike rugby and other sports, fighting is allowed in hockey. There is a reason for this. Teams have players called enforcers who set the tone physically and also defend the team. Say if another teams tough guy is running over all your skilled goal scorers, your enforcer is going to fight him so as to say that he can't be hitting anyone he wants. Fighting and hitting is not needless bloodlust in hockey, a good fight can swing momentum in your teams favor, just as a good hit can cause a opportunity for a goal.

I'm not complaining about tuckles i understand those are parts of the game and i also understand that this sports are tough and not for everyone.
I just don't approve of fighting in this sports.
Honestly can anyone name another sport ( not including boxing and MMA) where punching a guy in the face is allowed ?
I can't think of any.
This is the way i look at sports like hockey ,rugby etc.... Look at car racing for example where you have F1 ( formula 1) wich is the most prestigious of all car racing events , then you have Rally, Indy 500 , Nascar and then you have Smash Derby lol where all the people that are not good at driving at a competitve level go to.
To me rugby , hockey are like human Smersh Derby.
In any sports where there is need of violance and physical intimidation there are very little skills involved.
I watch MMA and boxing i also did little boxing when i was younger so I'm not one of those guys against physical sports , i just don't see the need for violence in certain sports.
I always laugh at guys who sit in front of their big screen TV with a beer gut watching this sports and thinking that they could do it to lol
Personally i would never play a sport like rugby since i don't have the body to withstand tuckles from a 6ft tall 16 stone dude =) im 5,8 and 180 pounds at 36 and use to be 155 pounds in my 20's.
I would get mangled.

Do they really call tackles 'tuckles' from wherever you're from or are you just not an avid writer?
