You need to re-examine the rules, muffin man. The words vulgarity/profanity never even appear in the list.

Divorce can be profitable if you have a good lawyer, and especially if you weren't the bread maker.

Cool they see you as a threat to themselves because of your credentials & work experience

Those may not be State Programs! The Federal Government passes Public laws, and (CFR) Regulations are written mandating the delivery of Benefits by the States (sometimes with, sometimes without funding).

Not as easy as it looks, Jesus! In some cases, the Employer Interviewer will sense that as soon as things loosen up a bit, you're out the door. In others, they will recognize that you are better than them and they'll declare you 'Overqualified!' Actually they see you as a threat to themselves because of your credentials & work experience. In neither case will you be hired!

I agree with Irish on that point. I looked for a job for an enire year, nationwide, and couldn't find anything. Either the place wanted to hire me, and then couldn't because of the economy, I didn't have high enough qualifications, or I was over-qualified. Places like Starbucks and McDonalds won't hire somebody with degrees because they know you won't be staying.

Don't tell them you have a degree unless they are looking for managers.

That would be falsifying a resume.

Mostly, people embellish their resumés trying to qualify for jobs that may be beyond the education/experience levels for which they are actually qualified. I used to see that frequently, especially from recent immigrants who have their resumés written by administrators in Technical schools where they get 'crash courses' in COBOL, for example. When I disapproved of one hire, my boss didn't understand my action until I called to his attention that the candidate's resumé was identical to that of another candidate we had interviewed a month earlier. And during my interview, when I asked the candidate if she knew the earlier candidate, she replied: 'No.

Keep in mind that information presented on a resumé (vita or curriculum vitae) may or may not be true. It's up to the interviewer to separate the wheat from the chaff.

These days, one might want to 'play down' their resumé rather than embellish it, because a lesser job is still a job.
