come on, nobodys even made a thread about this yet? does nobody here listen to slayer or something? fuckin sick new album of theirs just came out, probably the last too. check it out, its called World Painted Blood.

i dont have it, but if I know slayer it probably sounds exactly the same as the rest of the slayer albums. that is, unless somebody in the band other than dave lombardo (sp?) learned to play their instrument?

I pretty much gave up on Slayer after God Hates Us All. I fuckin hated that album, and I was a big Slayer fan for a long time before that. If this might be their last album, I'd probably give it a listen. What's it sound like? Can you compare it to any of their other albums?

i actually liked it pretty good album i liked it better than christ illusion which was also good. i would give it a 8/10

It sounds like the same shit they've been done for the last 20 years. Only difference is they suck live now.

Just because you can lump all their music into the category of "thrash" or "metal", doesn't mean it's the same thing. They had more than a few albums that were completely unique and different from everything else they did.
Their early stuff was a world apart from anything else, being heavily influenced by punk. The mid to late 80's was all pretty similar, their material from the 90's was very different, creative and, IMO, the best of their work. And since 2001's God Hates Us All, it's all been pretty much the same, overly-aggressive hate-metal.
If you actually listened to them enough to form a valid opinion you wouldn't be making broad, generalized, bullshit statements like that one.

its sounds a lot like Christ Illusion. Which in my opinion is their best one. You should give it a listen. Its better than GHUA
