thats a sweet volvo, i am very impressed with volvos quality, i plan on buying an older 240 to be my winter ride this year.

volvos are tanks. they run well over the 300,000 mile mark without any major problems

Yeah, I like the old boxy 240s too...Too bad this 850 is FWD.
And I thought the t5 series were in the USA. Yup...for instance: http://www.volvocars.us/Showroom/newS40/ but alas - I stand corrected - this is a 6 speed manual. |

the 240s are the ultimate sleepers back here in finland.
one of my best friends is building a ~300 bhp 240, and itīs the crappiest thing alive. rusty, dented and shitty, but itīs gonna be a sleeper... (oh, and the suspension will be built to handle track driving. work has begun already) i know a few of these 300-500 bhp 240, with DIESEL badges and crap, and let me tell you, they are fast. oh, and they use alot of original parts...

That was awesome. Pretty cool how he still spins the tires, while hes goin like 50 or 60.
I don't like Volvo that much, I like the S60, thats about it. And yes they last awhile, but so do Honda Civics. The civic im buying has 200k already, and my mom's friend's JEEP has 460k on it. Any car can last a long time really.

my friend has a s70 T5. we raced my buddies stock s4 and kept up with it, but then the s4 got chipped and blows us away now. The Volvo is going go get chipped soon though, then it will be hella hella fast.
