N64 (admit it jiggas, its quite awesome)
Yee, so i bought an n64 and a couple of games off of a buddy today for 10 bucks. I bought it because for some reason I had a craving for all of the old games (Banjo kazzooie, mario kart, diddy kong racing, donkey kong, mario 64, mario party, goldeneye etc.) So I got a couple of questions and this is the only forum I am a member to, so to save me some time from joining a faggotish gaming one Ill just ask you guys. PIMP Questions:
1)My buddy that gave me the n64 didnt have the game donkey kong, and I remembered it came with a certain thing that you had to put into the n64. I think I have it in my old n64 (which doesnt work), but I dont know what it is/how to get it out and etc. So what does it do, and should I even bother going to get it out? 2)Half of the games either dont turn on, or freeze. I'm not sure why this is getting in the way of the mario party fun..but it is. We've tried blowing in them, and tried just about every way possible to put it in, but it doesnt work. Now some games work perfectly fine. So I'm wondering is there something I can buy that will help make all the games turn on and not freeze? 3) Does anyone know if you can still buy these games/how cheap they would be? I dont want to do all this garbage online because I have a fear of ebay, and I dont wanna sign up for any shit. We tried an EBgames and they didnt have any. So I'm wondering is there another possible place that might have them, or just try another EBgames? Also share some fucken experiences! Admit it or not, n64 was the funnest thing ever. Every single time we play its funny as shit.

you're looking for the n64 expansion pack, it's basically more ram.
just search "n64 expansion pack" on ebay and I'm sure you'll find some for pretty cheap. And I'm actually not a big fan of the 64, I think snes was better with games like Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, etc. |

Ok, I have the DK game and like the person above said it add more ram. You need it to play donkey kong. Also you mentioned buying games. Most of the N64 games are very cheap and can be bought at a gamestop, funcoland, (basically all of the the stores that sell reused games), but some games like starcraft 64 are very hard to come by and cost a lot!! I was trying to buy it a while ago, but the price for it was crazy. (More than an xbox 360 game!)Yah, so some games cost to play while most of the others are cheap. Don't expect to get to much money if you want to sell them either.

Take some rubbing alcohol on a q-tip and clean the contacts. I have a large video game collection with over 500 cartridges from the Atari 2600 to the N64 and I have only come across 5 cartriges that didn't work after cleaning. You may also have to clean the connector inside the system, I ususally take a piece of 400grit sandpaper and a wooden shim and gently sand the corrosion off of the contacts.
