Forza Motorsport

Don't know if a thread has been started about it, but I usually play it a lot.

I've been playing it since the demo came out over a year ago. I'm so close to beating the game, 84.9%, but I'm stuck because I have come to far to turn down the difficulty to medium.

The game is fun as shit to fool around on. It is very close to driving a real car, it has the same feel as driving a real car. Like after watching the M3 GTR do Nurburgring I did the same thing on my Xbox. The car sounds the same and gets that little bit of oversteer coming out of the corners just like in the video.

I have tons of cars maxed out. My favorite is probably the SS with the LS6 swap, it doesn't get traction unitl 100mph in third and that is what makes it so fun. I can't say enough about this game, it's simply awesome.

They're all pretty decent games, but comical on physics and handling. Especially PGR3.
If you want a driving simulator try www.liveforspeed.net, especially when it gets it's low speed tyre physics patch in 2 days time. Or maybe hold out to see how NKPro turns out.

You absolutely need a force feedback wheel to do well though.

Forza is an amazing game. I got it when it came out, but my brother ended up taking the XBOX (with all the games, even the ones I bought) to college with him. He gets back in a month, and is bringing the XBOX and all my games back with it. Sucks for him, I'll be taking it to college in July whether he likes it or not.

Anyway, back on topic. It is fun to max out cars, but I find that it is often most beneficial to just beef the cars up to the top of the class. My favorite cars to use when I stopped were easily the Subarus, souped up to all hell. Those things just beat the shit out of everything they raced, it was glorious.

Yeah, Forza's gotta be the best driving sim on the xbox, and maybe the best driving sim on any console period.

Seriously you guys need to download the liveforspeed demo. I know I keep banging on about it but I didn't know about it till someone told me. Lets put it another way, BMW recently chose it for an F1 simulator for some event their going to be doing soon.

The level of driving detail will blow you away. It's not as graphically stunning, but it's more about the driving simulation than eye candy. It will be a bit of a culture shock at first as you actually have to drive the things, rather than just rocking a stick in a general direction.

I have to disagree. I've played both and I prefer GT4. IMO it even looks better, HD on a big screen (it's one of the very few games that can be played in HD on PS2).

I can't get it to work. It probably doesn't help that I don't know what I am doing when it comes to computers.

How far you got dude? It also might be worth holding fire untill Saturday as there is a major physics update due which will also change the demo.

As far as I'm aware it's just a case of downloading teh zip file, extracting to a folder and double clicking the EXE file? It's pretty solid to control the cars without spinning off with "on/off" controls from a keyboard.

Ah, I played this game like almost everyday when I had my Xbox. I ended up selling my Xbox. But I sure do miss this game.
