I just got addicted to world of warcraft...

Well for the past year I have seen my friends playing it and heard how awesome it is, but I have always kept myself away from it purely because i know I would get addicted and would probably ruin my life. Anyway, the other day I though "What the hell, I'll just give it a shot, see what all the rave is about". I played it for a few minutes and got addicted... It's a fucking drug.

Anyway, how many people play WoW here? And how many are addicted?

i played for like a month, then after i got my mount the game died for me.

Played it for 2 years religiously, lost 2 jobs because of it, quit for good a few months ago, did everything there possibly was to do.

I played a free trial once. It was really fun but I knew if I bought it I'd be hooked.

I got a 10 day free trial once... It's fun, but I don't see how people can find it addicting. I also don't see why people would pay $100 a year or whatever to play it.

I spend over 100 a year on a RPG you've never even heard of. Wow is like 180 a year.

bore yourself with it, stay up for 3 or more days you'll get tired at it, pretty much how i got to lvl 62

planetside is the way to go

I have been playing for over a year now. I have made tons of chars, but only have one 60. I keep getting sick of it, but a few days later I come back and make a new character and get hooked all over again. I have about twenty level 20-50s.

i played it the first 3-4 months it came out but is just royally fucked over my academics and my social life(what little there was) so i quit

It sucks.

Half-way through leveling you'll say "this character's boring." And you'll make a new one. Then it'll keep happening until you keep one character until you get to 60.

But seriously the game sucks.

I started playing like last week, and.. yeah. I always heard my friends talking about it, so started playing, and was instantly addicted. I've made about 20 chars, all got to about level 15 then decided other races/classes were better. I've finally settled down with a Dwarf Paladin on the Spinebreaker server, give me a /t if you play. Name - Zaladin.

Yeah I remember right before I started playing Ultima Online, I used to hate it. But then I tried it and I was addicted to it for several years. But after awhile and all the bugs, patches, and updates...it gets alittle old. Same old thing for the exception of a few changes. I ended up quitting a few months ago. Might start back up later..just needed to take a break from it.
