Digital Art/Paintings

Hi,
A while back there was a link on the linkdump to a site on digital art which had some really imprssive paintings on. There was also a link to a tutorial (or it may have been within the site itself) on how ot make scenes look derelict.
Unfortunately I have had a quick look on the link dump but they seem to have been out dated now as it only has 10 pages.
If anyone could help that would be great.
With some free time on my hands i feel like experimenting (that sounds creative but it is only spurred on by immense boredem).
