I don't mean to rag on this car but isn't this just the Dodge version of the Chrysler 300C? So in theory all the people who want to wait for the Charger to come out so they can buy it could by one today, just in Chrysler version. So whats so special about it cept the name?

It looks awful............leave it to our american car companies to butcher ANOTHER nameplate......fucking hell........the fucker who used the name on that pile needs to be shot. Nice engine, but the car looks like ass, and it's basically a 300C...............

GTO = dumb (looks like everything else on the road)
Charger = dumb (what the hell, a 4-door? Better than the GTO, at least) Mustang = kickass, finally got off the Fairmont chassis, but still only has 300 HP... Camaro = Only seen one concept for the new Camaro coming back in a few years, and I'm not sure if it's legit or not. Camaro Concept: ![]() And the Firebird, as far as I know, is gone forever. I'm glad to see competition, though, it tends to benefits the consumer. ![]() EDIT: Looked around, and that Camaro Concept wasn't put out by GM. It was just some kid making a concept for what he would like to see. Still looks pretty good, though. Last edited by Bartok; 10-14-2004 at 08:04 PM.. |

The 2006 Charger is a great car they just shouldn't have called it Charger.
Remember guys this is a replacement for the Intrepid and will compete agains the Ford 500 and Chevy Impala so in its segment it will kick ass big time. They should have just called it an Intrepid and yes is is on the same LX base that the 300 is on but the sheetmetal is completely different it isn't like a Sable/Taurus. Remeber for what this car is it is great base engine 250 hp V6 and RWD, RT version will be 340 hp and no doubt they will have an SRT-8 version out a year after that with the 420+ hp hemi. And it should be priced a bit cheaper than the wagon Magnum. In 2007 there should be a shortened wheelbase LX named Challenger there is even rumors of the Cuda name coming back although without Plymouth that would be lame. Now when that happens look out a shorter, lighter 2-door will rock. So again forget the Charger name it was a mistake this is a high volume passenger car sheesh I wish this was out when I was younger instead of my dad getting an Intrepid we could have had a RWD Charger.... This smokes an Impala, Camry, 500, Accord, Avalon if for nothing else then it has some power and is RWD ![]() Here is a link to 6 different pics of more Chargers on a car hauler: http://community.webshots.com/photo/...97627977VCYVbl Now compare that to your average family grocery getter high volume low cost sedan. This doesn't compete with Mustang/GTO directly but the coming 2-door will compete with those and the upcoming Camaro. This car will sell very well think about all the young families that have kids you want a fast car that has sharp looks and RWD characteristics you've got the 300C, Charger or Magnum to choose from plenty of market for that. |
