Disgrace

I took this from my LJ about the way the Red Sox sold tickets yesterday:

"After waking up at 3:30 AM, my mother and I left to go into the line for tickets.

After we got there we walked to the wrong end of the line, which ended up wasting a good 20 minutes. So, after (yes I'm using a lot of "afters" in this entry) we get to the back, we wait until about 7:30 where somebody in charge of the whole thing was moving the line because people were sneaking into the line.

So, they moved us to Landsdown (or was it Yawkey Way?) Street to help keep things in order. But, many people just walked by us and got into line. Now, there was this one really drunk guy walking around (I mean drunk- bouncing off of people, bouncing off the fence, and still holding a budweiser in his hand). After he tried to cut in line, people started a fight with him, and the person in line next to me called the cops.

The fight was broken up, but not before the drunk man had blood gushing down his face, and two teeth knocked out I believe.

After that, they let us in an hour later (about 4 hours after we got there).

So, we lounged around in the .406 club and ate. They were asking questions for prizes, but when they called on me, I got it wrong (question was 'Which active player on the Phillies has the most steals in his career?' I guessed Jimmy Rollins, but it was Kenny Loften, who was recently signed by them). They also let you take your picture with the trophy so me and mum got our picture taken and about 2 hours after that we got our tickets (about 2:30-3 ish).

But what is pissing me off is that they sold out of Opening Day Packs (4 games, 1 being opening day) before person number 451 could get called! By the way, I was number 954. I mean 450x4 tickets each (that's all you could get) is 1800! Only 1800 fucking seats they could reserve? I thought they would keep at least 4000 seats available. God damn ticket marketing scheme. So we had to get a Sunday pack (which isn't all that good)."

I still am mad about how they handled eveything. It is a disgrace about what they did also.
