Haha... I'm a bit groggy this morning, and when I first read the title... I thought it said, "Converting Fish to Video". Thought I would just share that with you.

You don't need a Flash Converter to make it into a video. Just open up whatever Flash file you want to convert (in Flash) and go to File > Export > as AVI File.

You might have to tweak it a bit before you get the quality and sound you want, but it works.

Like I said, you have to tweak it a bit to find the sound and video quality you want.

To show you what a nice guy I am, I'm going to open up Flash right now and go step by step...

Now if you have Flash MX 2004, you want to follow these instructions.

Step 1. Open up your Flash document.

Step 2. Save it.

Step 3. Go to File > Export > Export Movie

Step 4. Where it says "Save as Type - .swf" change that to ".avi"

Step 5. Now a Properties box should come up. You can change the dimensions it has, or just leave it. I usually leave it.

Step 6. Now, for the video format, you can leave it if you want. It isn't very good quality though.

Step 7. This was usually the trickiest part for me. I had a hard time picking a sound quality that sounded ok, and was small enough to fit on a normal CD-R. Sometimes a three-minute video can come out to be about one GB. It's up to you to pick your own sound, I'm not gonna give you a sound but just pick one sound quality from the list and try it.

Step 8. On the next screen, it should ask you which compressor you want. I usually pick the Microsoft one, but you can pick whichever one you want. Compression basically means that it makes the final size smaller

Step 9. Click OK and you should be on your way.

Now quit asking stupid questions.
