Oddly enough, I've never watched an entire episode of MASH...couldn't stomach Alan Alda. I did like the movie though. Anyway, RIP I suppose.

I understand completely. Alan Alda makes me sick every time I see him which I try to avoid. That said I watched many an episode of M*A*S*H before and after David Ogden Stiers joined. It was as good or better than anything else that was on TV at the time.

The movie would now be considered extremely politically incorrect.

True...but so would most of the classics from the last 50 years. Not to worry, the channel guides make sure to warn us about bigoted characters and non politically correct content in the descriptions...so the snowflakes can keep the shows they watch clean and pure.

What's particularly amusing about 'M.A.S.H.' being now extremely politically incorrect is at the time it was cutting edge liberal. It mocked conventional people and conservatives and contrasted them with it's protagonist's liberal values, that was one of the main themes of the film. Hollywood has moved us on quite a distance since then.

This shot reminds me how Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan (Loretta Swit) contributed to the popularity of M*A*S*H. Put some perky tits in a t-shirt & you can't go wrong.
