So I saw the movie Dunkuck today.
Tom Hardy saves all of Europe from the Nazis. His kill count was at least 2 million geri's. He killed most of them with his Traps alone.
Still historically inaccurate. The movie tried to ignore the mercy and goodwill of the Nazis. There was a line that was something like "Why aren't they killing us with their tanks right now? It must be because they just want to shoot us like dogs from the air."
No, this was mercy and goodwill. Again, Hitler held the English in high standing. The last thing he wanted to do was slaughter his racial brethren by the hundreds of thousands. Orders were in place to allow for the exodus across the English Channel. Germany did not want war with England.
Anyways, the movie was okay. How good could it really be? A movie about the bravest surrender is never going to be that great. Still, I was pleasantly surprised. The acting and editing were very good.
Spoiler Alert: I can't believe they had Tom Hardy survive. They should've had his landing gear fail and showed his certain demise but cut away right before that moment. Oh well, who wants an Oscar anyway?
