Do you try to catch the 3D version when you go to the movies?

For me 3D is just an excuse to upsell and get people to spend more. There are some very visual movies that are pretty cool in 3D, especially on IMAX. But it sucks that it's not real 3D (it's stereoscopic), so you have to wear glasses.

There's now even 4D movie theaters popping out, where they squirt water on you, the seats move, and there's strobes and smoke. I tried it, and it honestly adds nothing to the movie itself. It's very distracting/annoying, and you actually lose your immersion in the movie. Plus who wants to be squirted with water when they're chillin and enjoying a movie.
I have never been to a "3D" movie that the glasses didn't mute the tones. Colors should be vivid and bright. The glasses make it seem like everything is darker than it should be.

Most 3D movies are the max action type which don't appeal to me. One movie I'd like to have seen in 3D was Gravity. I saw it in 2D and it was still great.

Put me down as not surprised Sandra Bullock doesn't interest you.

I said she doesn’t interest me? Your fat must be causing low blood flow to your brain and make you unable to read things right. I said the Sandra bullock movie gravity was a snooze fest. It was a movie for science fiction fags who like boring things.

We can agree to disagree but that scene when she was changing into her spacesuit will forever be etched in my mind.

But that isn't Sandra Bullock, Sigourney Weaver was the best space heroine. Thank you for proving that.

That movie had a serious realism feel to it. Not kiddie space like Star Wars...but what you could imagine it being like in the future. No cute characters and catchy one-liners...just a cold, dark, creepy ship and a bad ass bug running around in it. That scene and the chestbuster scene have been with me ever since. Ridley Scott at his best. Such a shame that he hasn't been able to bring the franchise back. The last two movies have only been so-so IMO.
