Familial hypercholesterolemia is a genetic disorder. The most common form is one where the receptor for bad cholesterol (LDL) is faulty so the liver can’t take it back and it stays in the blood fucking up your arteries - so basically normal sized normal eating person getting a heart attack at 25yo. Other forms exist.

What about diabetes? Very prevalent in people with genetics from northern Europe. Possible these people lost the ability to process sugar due to generations eating diets low in sugar along with eating foods that help regulate blood sugar (oats)?
