I'm not worried about calories. I'm fascinated by nutrients, including calories. French bread and Earth Balance are calorie dense but lacking in the nutrient density to make up for it, unless you're an athlete, you don't need that many empty calories.
If I ever have garlic bread again I'll just have a small 1 inch piece with some spaghetti and wheatballs. But I'm disappointed that because I wanted to finish this French bread (which had become very dry and hard), I wasted 722 calories and didn't eat a real meal because of it. I added a sweet potato and a peach but I probably should have eaten something with protein but didn't feel like opening a whole can of beans.
